Answering 70,000 emails.

I never meant to create a videogame company. It sort of happened by accident. A fortuitous accident, but an accident nevertheless.

In the early days, I was relatively anonymous. People within the industry knew me, but my company was small and the industry was undeveloped.  Three decades later, every day I now receive email requesting information on Bethesda Softworks, advice on getting into the video games industry or students requesting information for a school biography project.

I used to respond to each email as time allowed. But the emails kept increasing in number and I started putting them off “until I had time” to answer them properly. My inbox now has tens of thousands of messages.  So, I decided the best way to answer many of your more general questions was to utilize the power of the net to broadcast to a wider audience.
